In our quest to provide the latest developments in chiropractic health care, our clinic utilizes the most advanced technology, spinal analysis and treatment technique available including the Pro-Adjuster. This new technology has been added to our already successful analysis and treatment programs.

What is Better?
Our chiropractic clinic has added new technology in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal, joint and nerve dysfunction. The Pro-Adjuster is a blend of computer technology and instrumentation that is an extension of the doctor's hand and provides a digital view within the body. This advanced analysis and treatment method is not a replacement for the doctor's connection to the patient nor does it detract from the personal attention that the doctor has with the patient's body.

Not only can the doctor continue past successful procedures to determine patient status, cause of symptoms or maintenance of health, but with this technology the doctor has a view of the areas of the body down to the frequency that body parts, such as spine, vibrate. The doctor is not limited to external analysis, nor limited by the static information that an x-ray film provides. Motion fluidity and rigidity can be measured and all vertebrae can be compared to each other to determine if vertebrae are moving together or in an abnormal, destructive manner. The spine is measured, treated and re-measured within seconds to determine effectiveness of treatment, thus providing a superior way to enhance the function of the nervous system.

The computerized adjustment instrumentation evaluates each area and calculates what angle and pulse per second of force is needed to allow the lightest and most accurate correction for optimum results.

As each vertebral segment is tested by light tap, the results and quality of that segment's motion are displayed on the computer screen for analysis. After it is determined by the doctor which segments need correction or improvement the specific segments are adjusted. The hand-held probe is controlled by the doctor as the computer constantly monitors effectiveness of the adjustment procedure and relays information to the doctor as corrections are made. Because the angle of force into the vertebra is so specific and monitored to the millisecond, only a very light force is needed for correction. The corrective force is so fast, light and comfortable that the soft tissue such as muscle cannot resist and contract to interfere with correction.

page3The benefits of this technology are listed below:
  1. Every age no matter how old can be analyzed without danger or discomfort.
  2. There is no residual muscle soreness or discomfort from the adjustment.
  3. The doctor has constant feedback during and after the adjustment.
  4. All areas of the spine can be tested.
  5. Areas of the spine that could not be treated by hand can be easily treated.
  6. The entire spine can be treated and compared to previous care.
  7. The spinal adjustment ends when maximum response to treatment is accomplished.
  8. Human error in evaluation and treatment is greatly reduced.
  9. No cracking sounds during the adjustment. (People who cannot tolerate cracking sounds in the spine are happy)
  10. People with brittle, osteoporotic or even diseased bones can be treated without risk.
  11. Athletes that wish their bodies to be finetuned have the ultimate in analysis, treatment and results to enhance performance right to the last minute before competition.
  12. In acute severe injuries the spine can be treated without aggravation of symptoms.
  13. Long-standing degenerative spines can be treated and motion improved without discomfort and with great results in motion enhancement.
  14. For legal purposes a computer readout may be produced to stimulate spinal status and severity of the condition.
  15. Improved spinal motion improves the ability of the spinal cord, brain and body to communicate together for improved general health and longevity.
  16. Elbows, wrists, shoulders and knees can be treated to align the many small bones that have the potential to create problems.

erchoniaLaser Focus

When learning about laser, there are some basic concepts that should be understood. A laser is basically a focused beam of light that emits photon energy. When the light is focused properly, all the photons are traveling in the same direction and at the same wavelength; this is also known as coherent light. When light is not focused, it scatters in all directions and becomes diffused. This is called non-coherent light.

Beams of Light

We use lasers to listen to our favorite music CDs, to measure distances, temperature, and speed. Even though Einstein was the first to talk about the idea of beams of light, our bodies have been using that same kind of energy to communicate since man was created. As documented in James L. Oschman's book, Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis, cells communicate to one another through coherent light.

Low-Level Lasers

Low-level lasers are different than the more publicized heat lasers that are used in many surgical procedures to cut and cauterize tissue. Low-level lasers do not have a thermal effect and are used to stimulate, rather than destroy tissue. These types of lasers have been in use for over 25 years and there have yet to be recorded any side effects. Low-level laser studies have been done and have proven to be effective in many cases, but it was the Erchonia laser that made history by becoming the first low-level laser in the world to gain FDA market clearance for the treatment of chronic neck and shoulder pain. This was proven through two double-blind studies to prove the efficacy of the Erchonia laser on chronic pain.

How Does It Work?

Erchonia lasers emit visible coherent light that is applied to the affected area. Bundles of light energy pass through the dermal layers, and are received within the cell membrane by specific energy photo acceptors. The increase in intra-cellular energy results in altered cell membrane permeability, and physiological changes occur through an enzyme cascade to affect several biological processes. Within the injured musculoskeletal tissue, low-level laser light initiates increased microcirculation and enhanced tissue regeneration. The overall effects are decreased pain and inflammation, and increased range of motion.
